SGI, Street Art for Mankind and United Nations Celebrate the Largest Mural in Oakland History!
A huge little girl is now watching over Oakland!
Sharing our record-size “Zero Hunger” mural created by Victor Ash in Oakland, California on the Oakland Marriott City Center. This 190-feet huge mural was created with Wfpusa to support the mission of the UnitedNations World Food Programme
It is part of 6 #ZeroHungerMurals we created to raise awareness and mobilize action to combat worldwide food insecurity and, in the US, food injustice that disproportionately impacts African-Americans communities. The series was made possible by @Kelloggsus.
A “Big Art” project that has very much benefited from Oakland's “Big Heart” community: The City of Oakland, California @libbyshaaf, The Oakland Marriott, #GawCapital, #MCContacting, Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce - OAACC, CDA Consulting Group, Sheryl Grant. They all went above and beyond to make it happen and amplify the work that was done. We thank you all immensely! 🙏🙏
To learn more about the cause and ways to take action, download the app “Behind The Wall” on your phone, scan this picture and hear the UN and the artist tell you more about their work and inspiration.
