I never realized how much sleep contributed to my fitness until I began my first Journey to Ms. Olympia. With 2 workouts a day + a strict nutritional regimen while balancing a career, the effects of lack of sleep started to creep on me quickly. Being lethargic, unable to complete workouts, or too tired to even get up and make it to the gym made me realize that sleep has effects on your body beyond the gym.

Sleep is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle, and it plays a crucial role in our physical and mental well-being. Most of us know that getting enough sleep is important for feeling refreshed and alert during the day. However, the impact of sleep on our everyday life goes beyond just feeling rested.
