What Makes You Come Alive? 3 Steps to Discover the “Why” in Your Life

Finding Your "Why": A Guide to Unlocking Your Purpose

On our journey to personal transformation, there's a crucial element that sets the stage for success, and that element is "Faith." As I teach in my FIT methodology, Faith goes beyond mere belief; it's a powerful force that propels me toward my dreams and goals. Today I'll delve into the concept of Faith within the FIT methodology, with a particular focus on its two essential components: Knowing your unique strengths and understanding the value you bring to those around you.

1. Faith: Clearing Your Vision of The Future

Imagine your life as a canvas, and your dreams are the vibrant colors waiting to be painted. But to create a masterpiece, you need a clear vision. I define a vision as "a picture or idea that you have in your mind." This vision could encompass various aspects of your life, from your personal relationships to your business endeavors.

A clear vision serves as your guiding light, illuminating the path to your dreams and goals with unwavering conviction. It's your most potent tool on the journey to success. Why? Because your vision not only provides a glimpse of your future but also stirs a deep hope within you.

2. Knowing Your Unique Strengths

To develop Faith, you must begin by understanding yourself on a profound level. This self-awareness is the first part of Faith, and it involves knowing your unique strengths. Each of us possesses a set of talents, abilities, and qualities that make us special. These strengths are like the colors on your palette, waiting to be used to create your life's masterpiece.

Take a moment to reflect on your strengths. What are you exceptionally good at? What comes naturally to you? Identifying your unique strengths is a crucial step in realizing your full potential. It's the foundation upon which your Faith is built.

3. Understanding Your Value to Others

The second part of Faith is understanding the value that you bring to those around you. This aspect emphasizes the interconnectedness of our lives. You are not an island; you are part of a community, a network of relationships that can be enriched by your contributions.

Consider the impact you have on others, whether through your skills, your kindness, or your support. Recognize that your actions and talents can inspire and uplift those around you. When you understand the value you bring to others, you gain a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Your "Why": Embracing Your Natural Right to Shine

In the words of Sheryl Grant, your "why" is the driving force behind your journey. It's the fuel for your Faith. Knowing your unique strengths and understanding your value to others forms the foundation of your "why." It's the reason you wake up each day with determination and passion.

Today, I encourage you to embrace your natural right to shine. Cultivate Faith in yourself by recognizing your strengths and the positive impact you can have on your community. As you embark on your path of personal transformation, remember that Faith is not just about believing in yourself; it's about knowing yourself and recognizing the profound value you bring to the world.

In the wise words of Les Brown, "My motivation must be absolutely compelling." Let your Faith be that compelling force that propels you forward, enabling you to overcome any obstacle that may come your way. By doing so, you not only become an unstoppable force but also a bright light and an inspiration to those around you.
